Her knowledge and experience with purebred dogs combined with her
attention to detail, authenticity and accurate portrayal of the dogs she
paints immortalizes them in a way that makes her paintings priceless.

In addition to her 17 year career as a professional dog handler working
with over 25 different breeds of dogs, she has also been actively
breeding German Shorthair Pointers proven both in the show ring and the
field since 1988. German Shorthaired Pointers with the Vom Metz name
have gained a reputation of being top winning show dogs with unmatched
hunting abilities. Her experience, knowledge and compassion of quality
sporting dogs has raised the standards of her art and provided a "look"
that avid sporting and dog art collectors and dog enthusiasts
appreciate.
With no "formal" training, her work was instantly recognized for her
abilities with her first painting, "Intense Moment" being selected for
the "People's Choice" award at the Safari Club International convention
in 1999. Soon after, she was commissioned to paint the official portrait
of "Bozeann's Mosley" on permanent collection in the Hall of Fame at the
National Bird Dog Museum in Grand Junction, TN. Among other high profile
names, Metz painted “Barney” for President George W and Laura Bush and
Lawyer Ron, competitor in the 2006 Kentucky Derby currently on display
at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, TX.
Her paintings have been published on the covers of the 2004 anniversary
issue of Pointing Dog Journal, the 1999 anniversary issue of Retriever
Journal, the 1999 and 2004 Fall issues of Field Trial Magazine, 2004 and
2005 covers of American Field and 2005 cover of Paint Racing. Her work
has been consigned and successfully sold at the

York City, NY and Dallas, TX;

Gallery in Atlanta, GA;

portraits sponsored by Purina and the 2004, 2005 and 2006 National
